LORD OF THE BLACK NAZARENE FOUNDATION, INC.

  • Introduction:

The Lord of the Black Nazarene Foundation, Inc., is a non-stock, non-profit foundation based in Quiapo, Manila established in 2009. It aims to support religious and non-government institutions, building the local, spiritual, financial and social capital necessary to provide sustainable development to various problems that beset the Filipino Catholic.

To respond to the requests for grants of various religious and non-government institutions, the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene or known as Quiapo Church has established the Lord of the Black Nazarene Foundation, Inc.. The Foundation has been the desire of His Eminence Gaudencio B. Cardinal Rosales, D.D. which he saw through to its establishment.

 

  • VISION: A Community of persons living in a life of maturity and total human fulfillment.

 

III. MISSION: We commit to the total integral development of people’s through spiritual nourishment, economic growth and social progress of their communities.

  • PURPOSE:
  1. To provide grants for Social Services and Social Developmental Programs of church-based institutions financially in need.
  2. To monitor program implementation of grants provided.
  3. To manage fund generation and sustainability of programs of the foundation.
  4. To network with government, civic and church institutions in the fulfillment of its goals.
  5. To evaluate and improve on programs and approaches for the betterment of the services of the foundation.

  2. Livelihood programs
  3. Charitable assistance
  4. Calamity Assistance
  5. Value Formation Programs and Family Life

VII. CRITERIA FOR FUNDING

  1. Must have endorsement of their Bishops.
  2. Must submit a project proposal account to the format of the foundation with proponents of two or more parish/church officials.
  3. Must reveal the other sources of funding and counterpart.
  4. Must explain the benefit to the community in line with our Vision and Mission and why they deserve funding.
  5. Define specific criteria for evaluation and measurement of the program for foundation monitoring purposes.
  6. Must submit progress and financial reports both to the foundation and their Bishop (with pictures or video)
  7. Must include phases and timetable for scheduled releases of fund.

Approval of Fund will pass through the process of screening by foundation staff and will depend on the availability of fund.

Non-follow up submission of requirement would mean non-interest on the part of the proponent and forfeiture of funding.
