WHERE GOD LIVES IN THE HOUSE OF PRAYER: FR. TOLENTINO’S GIVES PARISH-WIDE RECOLLECTION AT QUIAPO CHURCH

On May 28, 2024, at 7:00 P.M., Rev. Fr. Reynante Tolentino, rector and parish administrator of the International Shrine and Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage presented his talk this Parish-Wide Recollection at the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno in line with the theme: “Shrine as a House of Prayer”.

“My house shall be called the house of prayer”, as Rev. Fr. Tolentino described the shrine is where “God lives” and challenged the audience to thank the Lord for the gift of life as the shrine is “a place of encounter with God and God with people”. In addition, he emphasized that Jesus should be regarded the most in the presence of the Holy Eucharist beyond (His) tangible images.

Also, he stated that through our prayers, we become transformed because “we recognize the Lord in our prayers”.

Rev. Fr. Reynante Tolentino is the incumbent rector of the International Shrine and Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage and the reelected president of the Association of Catholic Shrines and Pilgrimages (ACSP) in the Philippines for 2024-2026.
