RESSURECTION OF JESUS AND OF OUR DIALOGUE IN PRAYERS: QUIAPO CHURCH CONDUCTS PARISH-WIDE EASTER RECOLLECTION

Nov. 30, 2024 05:16 PM

Rev. Fr. Reginald R. Malicdem, Vicar General and Vice Moderator Curiae of the Archdiocese of Manila and Chaplain of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Chapel, SM Makati, delivered his talk centered on the theme: “Ang Muling Pagkabuhay ni Hesus at ang ating Buhay-Panalangin” during the Parish Wide Easter Recollection at 7:00 P.M. on April 23, 2024, at the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno.

According to him, whenever we pray, God always listens. With that, he advised that we should be “ready to listen and ask how the person is doing”. After all, dialogue is about reciprocity.

In relation, Fr. Malicdem stated that the Eucharist is the highest form of prayers as a form of thanksgiving. It is where all the grace of blessings flows when we pray. He added, “We should show to Jesus our joy when we pray to Him”.

Lastly, he also said that we should also accept Jesus with fervor. Just as how the two disciples, who were on their way to Emmaus, were amazed after recognizing Jesus during the breaking of the bread. He also invited the audience with his statement: “With the resurrection of Jesus, let us all also fill our hearts with joy”.
