MANILA, Philippines — June 7, 2026 — The National Shrine and Minor Basilica of Jesus Nazareno, solemnly celebrated the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) during the 3:00 PM Holy Mass on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Raymond Tapia, BFP-CHS, Chaplain of the Bureau of Fire Protection, together with the resident priests of Quiapo Church. Hundreds of devotees, parishioners, and members of various church organizations gathered in prayer and thanksgiving, reflecting on the profound mystery of Christ’s real presence in the Holy Eucharist.
In his homily, Fr. Tapia emphasized the significance of the Eucharist as the source and summit of Christian life. He encouraged the faithful to deepen their devotion to the Blessed Sacrament and to become living witnesses of Christ’s love through acts of charity, service, and communion with one another.
Following the Holy Mass, the Blessed Sacrament was solemnly exposed and carried in a Eucharistic Procession around the parish vicinity. Accompanied by prayers, hymns, and expressions of reverence, the procession became a public manifestation of faith in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.

The faithful lined the streets, offering prayers and paying homage as the Blessed Sacrament passed through the parish community. The procession served as a powerful reminder that Christ continues to walk among His people, blessing homes, families, and communities.
The celebration of Corpus Christi at Quiapo Church highlighted the Church’s enduring devotion to the Holy Eucharist and renewed the faithful’s commitment to live as one body in Christ.
Through the Holy Mass and the solemn procession, devotees were invited to encounter the Lord more deeply and to carry His presence into their daily lives.
As the Church continues its mission of evangelization and service, the faithful departed with hearts filled with gratitude, strengthened by the Body and Blood of Christ, and inspired to become instruments of His love and mercy in the world.
