The National Shrine and Minor Basilica of Jesus Nazareno joyfully concluded its parish wide Via Lucis (Daan ng Liwanag) on April 12, 2026, coinciding with Divine Mercy Sunday, gathering parishioners in a meaningful celebration of the Resurrection of Christ and the continuing mission of evangelization.

The spiritual activity brought together various Parish Organizations and Ministries, alongside devoted members of the Hijos del Nazareno, reflecting unity and active participation within the Quiapo Church community.
The Via Lucis, also known as the Way of Light, highlights the resurrection appearances of the Risen Lord and invites the faithful to journey from sorrow to hope, from darkness to light.
The prayer procession was presided over by Fr. Jonathan Noel Mojica, who guided the faithful through the different stations centered on Christ’s victory over death. Through scripture reflections, communal prayers, and moments of meditation, participants were reminded that the Resurrection is not only an event remembered but a reality lived daily through faith and service.

Throughout the celebration, parish groups actively took part in leading prayers and reflections, symbolizing the shared responsibility of all baptized faithful in proclaiming the Good News.
The Via Lucis served as a reminder that Easter does not end with celebration but continues through acts of mercy, charity, and evangelization.
The successful conduct of the parish-wide Via Lucis stands as a testament to the vibrant faith life of the Quiapo community, reaffirming the Church’s mission of guiding believers toward renewed hope in the Risen Christ.
