NAZARENO 2025 VIGIL PROGRAM: THE NIGHT OF PERFORMANCE TRIBUTE TO JESUS, THE NAZARENE

QUIRINO GRANDSTAND, LUNETA – The Nazareno 2025 vigil program starts at 3:55 PM on January 8, 2025 at the Quirino Grandstand, Luneta, Manila up to 4:30 PM of January 9, 2025.

During the pre-program, there are number of band performances by the Nazarene Catholic School (NCS), Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Manila City Hall and a karakol (religious dance) performance from the Nuestra Señora de Soledad Parish. This is followed by the prayer at sunset time led by Rev. Fr. Cristopher Crucero, LRMS.

At 5:30 PM, The Feast performs onstage praise and worship songs. Rev. Fr. Hans Magdurulang, present parish priest of Our Lady of Assumption Parish on Malate, Manila together with Dra. Gaines are the hosts for the Nazareno 2025 program. Including in the part are the four passage readings and testioies delivered by the following: Dr. TJ Regala (Adoration), Sir Boy (Contrition), Jessica Ferrer-Amor (Thanksgiving) and Jeremie Soriano (Supplication).

In the prologue of the program, the Parish Youth ministry members performed the following shows: Sumunod sa Panginoon, Ito Ang Araw, Ikaw Ang Ngayon, Bukas at Kailanman.

For the first part of the program: Pagsunod, the youth performed a short play, Tiguihan and a choir performance of Purihin mo ang Diyos O Pilipinas and Glorious – Biyaa.

In the second part of the program: Paghahandog, comprises of dance numbers, Mahiwaga & Yakap and a short play, Jeremie..Figurine..Batang Quiapo.

The third part: Pag-Ibig presents a short play, Bulong ng Misyon and a dance performance, You Are the Reason.

The fourth part: Pag-asa, there is a short play entitled Mandatum and Ako Naman as dance performance.

The final part of the first segment of the program showcases a combination of choir, theater and dance performances of Susunod sa Panginoon, Mas Mabuti ang Pagsunod, Purihin mo ang Diyos O Pilipinas and Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno. After that, the Misa Mayor to be presided by His Eminence Jose Cardinal Advincula Jr. begins.

Following this mass, at the second segment of the vigil program, it features some of invited GMA Kapuso artists like the siblings Rayver Cruz and Rodjun Cruz and his wife, Diane Medina. Also, three artists of ABSCBN during the Couch Conversation (Sa Puso ng Nazareno) like Coco Martin and McCoy de Leon, both who are full-pledged devotees of Jesus, the Nazarene and Dimples Romana. A song performance is also conducted by Ms. Angeline Quinto, another famous devotee of Jesus Nazareno.

At 4:30 AM of January 9, 2025, the dawn prayer commences leading up to the beginning of the Traslacion procession at 4:41 AM.
