Lay Ministers

 

 

EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF THE HOLY COMMUNION (LAY MINISTERS)

The EOMHC or Lay Ministers are individuals who assists in the distribution of Holy Communion during Sunday Masses or on other occasions where pastoral necessity demanded their presence. They also distribute Holy Communion to the elderly, the handicapped, and Viaticum to the very sick persons in their home.

Programs/ Activities:

  • Pastoral services (distribution of Holy Communion to parishioners and to Manila City Jail inmates)
  • Paraliturgical celebrations
    • Conduct stations of the Cross
    • Rosary devotions
    • Days of Recollection
    • Eucharistic Holy Hours
    • Scripture services
  • Parochial and Institutional
    • Assistance with Liturgy planning teams
    • Serving community as Catechists
    • Serves as leaders for prayer groups or Scripture study groups.
